WATER POLO
The Kearsney College and Maritzburg College 1st teams met in midweek, ahead of tournament action on the weekend for the Kearsney 1st team and u15A teams. They would go on to win the Reef Cup and the Indigo Cup respectively. They also won against Maritzburg College.
At the conclusion of the Reef Cup, Thomas Aylward, Elihle Hadebe, Blake Kruger and James Pohl were named in the All-Star Team, with Hadebe being named the Goalkeeper of the Tournament, while Clement Makelele was named the Best Defender at the Indigo Cup.
While the Kearsney 1st side won against College, the 2nd team game was drawn, and College picked up two open age group wins. The two u15 and two u14 games went the way of Kearsney.

BASKETBALL
They may have lost one or two along the way this season, but in the traditional weekend KZN clashes, Maritzburg College went undefeated. College beat Kearsney 63-56 on Saturday to add another win to their streak, which started in September last year.
Inayathi Nasinga was the leading points’ scorer for College, with 24, while Reabetswe Sithole led Kearsney with 11 points.
Kearsney picked up the u16A win by two points. College won the u15A game by one, and Kearsney claimed the u14A clash by six.
There was little to separate the two schools as College recorded 12 wins to Kearsney’s 10.

CRICKET
Early in the week, Kearsney and College met in 100-ball fixtures. The 1st XI match was, unfortunately, abandoned, but eight matches were played over the course of two days, with College claiming five wins to Kearsney’s three.
College took two wins in the open age group, it was 1-1 at u16 level, College won both u15 games, and Kearsney took both u14 matches.
