Northwood’s and Glenwood’s football teams met on Saturday, with 16 matches across four age groups taking place.
In the 1st XI clash, a tight contest was decided from the penalty spot, with the Knights’ Ethan Hutton slotting the kick to give his side a 1-0 victory.
It was a big win for Northwood over a team that had finished as the runners-up at the Primo Big 10, and which had won the Coastal League in the second term. Northwood, though, had beaten Glenwood 3-1 at the Kloof Tournament, so carried some confidence into their clash.
Generally, matters favoured Northwood throughout the day, with their under-15 teams leading the way by winning four of four games.
