HOCKEY @ DHS
The DHS 1st hockey team thought they had completed their season at The Coliseum in the second term, but a late change to the schedule saw them defending their unbeaten record at home on Friday evening. Unfortunately for the Horseflies, Northwood played the spoilers and ran out 3-2 winners.
It has been a very strong season for Northwood and Friday’s 1st team result was evidence of the quality of the programme.
The DHS u16A side played with impressive skill and pace to win a hard-fought clash and, with the 1st XI losing only three grade 12s for next season, there is undeniable proof that the coffers remain well stocked at School.
At under-14 level, it has been Northwood that have set the pace in 2023, so DHS would likely have been the more satisfied with the 1-1 draw.

RUGBY @ NORTHWOOD
There was some familiarity to the shape of the rugby results between the two schools: DHS ruled among the A teams, while Northwood’s impressive strength in depth was to the fore lower down the ranks.
Competition in all of the age groups was tight. In the open contests, DHS won three matches to Northwood’s two. At under-16 level, DHS won two and Northwood one. In the under-15 age group, DHS won one and Northwood three. And there were two wins for Northwood, a win for DHS and a draw in the under-14 games.
