The Sharks XV ran in seven tries in a comfortable 39-15 day one victory over Border at the Academy Week in Johannesburg on Monday, while the Craven Week team scored a 34-24 victory over a dangerous Western Province XV in George.
At Jeppe High for Boys, Zenkosi Mthiyane and Luthando Makua both crossed for a brace as the Sharks XV cruised to the 24-point win, which was made easier after one of the Border players was shown a red card by the referee in the 27th minute.
