21 June 2023
The renowned and multi-award-winning Kearsney College Choir will be in action on Saturday, 24 June, as part of UDUMO, a choral collaboration, which will bring together leading choirs from throughout KwaZulu-Natal, including from Clifton.
The concept, according to tixsa, where tickets can be purchased, “uses experiential learning to mentor, network, share, grow and develop conductors and singers to ultimately perform together in mass choirs in a spectacular gala concert!”
Four large choirs will perform, with each made up of 250 singers. They will comprise a primary school choir, two high school choirs, and an adult choir.
Ultimately, singers from all four choirs will combine into a mass choir of 670 to perform carefully selected pieces that showcase the diversity of choral music in South Africa.

Apart from the aforementioned choirs, the participants also include, among others, the KZN Midlands Youth Choir, Grantleigh Schools and Vusukukhanya Primary School.
The event is being hosted by the Choral Celebration Network at CityHill Church in Hillcrest, which is at 1 Greenmeadow Lane, just off of Inanda Road. It starts at 18:30.
