Michaelhouse Jazz Band lights up lunch hour

The Michaelhouse Jazz Band visited a local Balgowan eatery, Mini Me Patisserie & Bistro, for a Lunch Hour Concert on Sunday, 5 March.

The boys performed an eclectic selection of numbers, incorporating jazz, hip hop and kwela into their repertoire, while patrons tucked into the tasty food prepared by chef and owner Casey Wigmore.

Patrons gave the Jazz Band’s selection a rousing thumbs-up, with their enthusiastic calls for an encore unambiguous evidence of an entertaining and highly appreciated performance.

Next up for boys is a live performance on 22 March, when they will participate in the Maritzburg College Interschools Jazz Concert alongside College and Hilton College.
