BASKETBALL
A strong start to the basketball season continued for Maritzburg College against Glenwood on Saturday, 11 February, in Durban, with College recording a convincing victory by 30 points. The visitors also ran up comfortable wins in the u15A and u14A games, but Glenwood’s u16A team scored a home win, albeit against College’s u16B side.

CRICKET
Maritzburg College had come within a whisker of beating Hilton College in their last outing. It was an impressive showing against a team that has been the pick of the KZN boys’ sides thus far in 2023. Thus, it wasn’t a surprise when they handily dealt with Glenwood, although the hosts have been the most unpredictable of the KZN 1st XIs this season. The most impressive win of the day went the way of College’s u16A side.

WATER POLO
In the pool, the results were predictable, with College expected to sweep the main games. Glenwood put up a good fight in the 1st team clash, but the Pietermaritzburg boys, nonetheless, secured a solid victory.
