Maritzburg College’s class of ’24 boosts Bachelor Pass rate

Maritzburg College‘s matric class of 2024 delivered strong results in the National Senior Certificate exams, with a pass rate of 99.2 percent and a Bachelor Pass rate of 86 percent, which was an impressive increase of 5.2 percent over last year’s rate.

Overall, 97 percent of College’s matriculants achieved entry into tertiary study.

Dux, Jonathan Werth (feature photo with Jeanette Finnie, Deputy Head of Academics) , led the way, with seven NSC distinctions and an eighth for IEB AP Mathematics.

Jandré van Huyssteen and Ryan McKean received seven distinctions. Cameron Ferraz, Inam Jikijo, Siphiwe Majozi, Jamie Kloppers, and Scott Tredgold achieved six each, while three others picked up five distinctions.

Information Technology: Rayhaan Essa, 80%
Life Sciences: Jamie Kloppers/Siphiwe Majozi 90%
