Maritzburg College vs St Charles College
Catching up on the last weekend of football action, before the cricket, basketball and water polo seasons take over, there was a notable victory for St Charles.
Maybe Maritzburg College found it difficult to raise themselves up for one last tilt, a day after an emotional victory over Port Shepstone High in the final of the Cowie Cup, but Saints were ready for the showdown with their Pietermaritzburg rivals and they claimed a 3-2 victory.
College notched wins in the u16A and u14A games, but St Charles was victorious in the clash of the u15A sides.
The u16 age group was especially hard-fought and high scoring, with both schools winning two matches each while 26 goals were scored in just four games.

Michaelhouse vs Durban High School
At Michaelhouse, the home team, the recent winners of the Jody Momple Cup, put an exclamation mark on a very successful season by holding off DHS to claim a 2-1 win.
DHS triumphed in the u15A match, winning a high scoring clash 5-3, while the u14A teams played to a 1-1 draw.

Northwood School vs Westville Boys’ High School
Westville Boys’ High recorded a 3-0 win over Northwood in their last outing. While that victory was emphatic, it was a very evenly contested day overall, with Northwood picking up nine wins, Westville winning eight games, and only one ending in a draw.
Those results included a 2-0 win for the Northwood u15D team, which ensured they finished the season unbeaten.

Hilton College vs Glenwood High School
Hilton College, meanwhile, finished their season on a high, handing the Primo Big 10 champions, Glenwood, a 3-0 defeat. Their 2nd XI and 4th XI won comfortably, too, but what a game there was between the two 3rd teams, with Hilton edging it 6-5.
The u15 matches resulted in a win apiece and two draws, while the u14 clashes, astonishingly, produced four draws from four games.
