Hilton College, winners by 24 points over Pretoria Boys High on Gilfillan Field in 2023, had their margin of victory halved in the South African capital on Saturday, but it was another victory for Brad Mcleod-Henderson‘s charges, who triumphed 29-17 on Brooks Field.
Wing Ricky Adonis crossed for two tries, one in each half, while Ben le Roux and Dylan Neill also dotted down for the visitors. Liyema Nela added nine points with his boot.
Boys High scored three tries, through Seth Venter, Jeffrey Singo and Ompfuna Tsanwani, with the last one, by Tsanwani, converted by Venter.
PBHS did well overall, winning 14 matches and losing five. Three of Hilton’s wins were by a single point. Another was by two.
The visitor, though, won the 1st XV game, the u16A match and the u14A clash, but Boys High took the u15A showdown by two points.

On the Astro, Hilton, stung by an unexpected loss to Michaelhouse last weekend, got themselves back on track with a 2-1 win over Pretoria Boys High.
They took seven wins to the eight of Boys High, but Hilton won more of the high-profile contests: 1st, 2nd and u14A. PBHS claimed the u16A victory.
