WATER POLO
With the Michaelhouse 1st team in action at the Reef Cup, where they finished fourth, and the Hilton 1st team contesting the KES Water Polo Tournament, where they were the best of the KZN teams, finishing sixth, it was left to the 2nd sides to produce an exciting clash in Balgowan on Saturday.
There were 23 goals scored in that game and at the end it was Michaelhouse who took a 13-10 victory.
Hilton picked up two wins in the open age group, while the 4th teams played to a 5-5 draw. Both of the u15 matches went Hilton’s way.

BASKETBALL
The Hilton College 1st basketball team, after an encouraging showing at the St John’s Basketball Tournament, put that confidence on show as they claimed a victory at Michaelhouse.
Seven open teams took to the floor, with Michaelhouse scoring four wins to three, with two of those contests being decided by a single point.
Hilton held the edge in the u16 clashes, while their recently crowned St John’s Basketball Tournament-winning u15A side defeated Michaelhouse, with Hilton going on to record three wins to one in the age group.
The results favoured Hilton at u14 level.

CRICKET
A fine innings by Ben Hockly, with good support from Charles Swart, helped the Hilton 1st XI to a solid 202/5 against Michaelhouse. Then, a strong effort in the field saw the visitors to a convincing win.
Hilton claimed some tight victories in the open age group, Michaelhouse took two u16 wins, and the u15A teams played to heart-stopping tie, with the schools each winning one of the other two u15 matches.
The u14A win went to Hilton, but Michaelhouse won the B and C games.
