BASKETBALL
In a meeting of two strong teams, the Westville and Maritzburg College 1st basketball teams put on a show, dishing up an entertaining clash on Saturday, with the red, black and white claiming a win over the Griffins, whose scalps this season include Northwood and DHS.
Westville’s under-16A team continued their very impressive season, almost doubling-up their College counterparts, and they added victories in the under-15A and under-14A games. Overall, though, College edged out Westville with 10 wins to seven.

CRICKET
The weather, unfortunately, brought an end to the 1st XI match with the game delicately poised. College, though, enjoyed the better of the other open age group clashes.
Westville, though, scored a convincing victory in the u15A match, but the visitors won the other two u15 games. The home team was on top when the weather brought an end to the u14A match, while the other four u14 games produced the tightest matches of the day, with both schools managing two victories.

WATER POLO
Westville, not unexpectedly, claimed the 1st team honours in the pool. College recorded a victory in the under-15A game, and the under-14B match ended all square. The remainder of the games went the way of the hosts, however.
