CRICKET
A century by opening batsman Ben Hockly was the cornerstone of the Hilton 1st XI’s useful total on Reece-Edwards Field, where batsmen have to work for their runs. Ivan Lockem, with 67, lent good support and the visitors set the Knights a challenging target for victory.
Kyle White captured 3 for 19 with the ball for the home team and dismissed both Hockley and Lockem. He, then, top scored for Northwood, grafting hard for 68 from 97 balls. There wasn’t sufficient support for his effort, however, and the Knights were bowled out 62 runs shy of the Hilton total.
Northwood claimed the under-15 A victory and dominated the under-14 matches.
