Friday the 13th signalled the start of the three-day long KZN Top 10 Water Polo Tournament, being played at the Clifton Aquatic Centre. Just six games were played from the afternoon and into the evening, but the action is set to ramp up on Saturday.
The results of Friday’s games were largely predictable, but Saturday promises some tougher to call contests.
DHS pushed a talented Westville outfit all the way in the opening game of the tournament, while Northwood pressed Clifton College hard without ever truly threatening to win.
Maritzburg College had their moments in a loss to Westville, but the remaining three games resulted in clearcut wins for Kearsney College, Northwood and Hilton College.
