With one of Maritzburg College’s own, Jesse Kriel, in the Springbok squad as they attempt to defend their title at the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France, which kicks off today, it’s appropriate that we share with you our pick of College’s best tries of 2023.
It’s taken a while – College’s rugby season ended later than that of many other KZN schools, and then the Sevens season was upon us. But we’re sure you’ll agree, the wait was worth it. The boys in red, black and white produced some scintillating rugby during the season and scored more than their share of special tries.
