Kearsney Choir lights up the stage in Cape Town

While a staggering 25 Kearsney College football teams took to the field against Northwood on Saturday, the Kearsney College Choir was on tour in the fairest Cape.

There, they entertained enthusiastic crowds at the Two Oceans Meet Choir Concert in Cape Town, which also featured the KZN Youth Choir, the Cape Town Youth Choir and the Tygerberg Children’s Choir.

Further entertainment was laid on at the V&A Waterfront where the Kearsney Choir captured the imagination with their energy and signature blend of pop and indigenous music. It’s their calling card.

World Choir Games

The Choir has enjoyed a remarkable run of success at the World Choir Games, previously winning 15 gold and seven silver medals. On four occasions, they have been named World Champions.

Now, they’re preparing for their next tilt at the competition. It takes place in July 2024, in Auckland, New Zealand.

Held every two years on different continents, the World Choir Games are the Olympics of choir competitions and draw thousands of participants from all corners of the planet.
