It’s time for the Friday Night Lights to shine!
The Northwood and DHS 1st hockey and 1st rugby teams will clash under lights this Friday, 28 July, in a treat for fans of top-class schoolboy sport. But there’s plenty more on offer.
The action begins earlier in the day, with Northwood playing host to the rugby fixtures on the Reece-Edwards, Brosnihan and Pollock Fields and The Coliseum at DHS hosting the hockey matches.
The 1st XVs of both schools have produced some of the best running rugby seen this season, with their dangerous backs scoring some outrageous long-distance tries. Check out our selection of the Knights’ best below.
And now, DHS, whose ability to strike from range is amazing.
Both schools are laden with an enviable depth of talent, which will ensure great competition throughout the age groups.
The hockey fixtures start at 14:00, with rugby kicking off at the same time. The matches conclude at 19:30, with the 1st hockey teams duelling at DHS and the 1st rugby sides going at it on Reece-Edwards Field at Northwood.
Both venues are amongst the best for atmosphere and viewing to be found anywhere.
