For the most part, the script read as it was expected to read when Westville visited Michaelhouse on Saturday, 10 June: Michaelhouse came away with the better of the rugby results, while Westville ruled on the Astro.
Rugby
The Michaelhouse 1st XV continued their fine season with a 14-point win over Westville, ahead of their second showdown with Hilton College next weekend. They owned the open age group, but Westville’s impressive under-16A team sneaked a narrow win.
Westville won three of four in the under-15 age group, but the A team victory went to ‘House. Two of three went the way of the Griffins at under-14 age level, but Michaelhouse, again, claimed a tight win in the clash of the two A sides.

Hockey
Fresh off an outstanding set of results against DHS, who have enjoyed a phenomenal season, Westville were seeking a strong follow-up, especially at 1st XI level, where consistency has been one of the team’s challenges this season. They got it, winning comfortably by a 3-0 margin.
The visitors also claimed narrow wins in the under-16 A and under-14 A games, while Michaelhouse’s lone win was a solid one, delivered by the 2nd XI.
