CRICKET

While it was, for the most part, a tough day for Glenwood’s cricketers, their 1st XI delivered a fine performance against a strong Westville team, who on Thursday had been crowned W100 champions. A thrilling contest ended with the sides sharing the spoils after playing to a nail-biting tie.

The Glenwood 1st XI is an intriguing side, capable of putting together the kinds of performances good enough to challenge the very best teams. The only chink in their armour has been the somewhat inconsistent nature of their performances, but the talent is top-notch.
