The saying goes: “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”. Thus, it should have come as no surprise that the members of the Michaelhouse Culinary Society thoroughly enjoyed a recent visit to the renowned Jackie Cameron School of Food and Wine in Hilton.
The boys were treated to a taste of Italy and taught how to prepare risotto, so often a tricky dish for the amateur chef, and gourmet pizzas, with a variety of tempting toppings.
For dessert, they were shown how to prepare a delicious tiramisu, the classic coffee-flavoured dessert.
The Italian-themed feast enabled the group of over 100 boys to interact with Chef Jackie Cameron and her students, and to come away inspired and well fed!
