Michaelhouse’s matric class of 2022 achieved a 100 percent pass rate, with the dux, Peter Woodland, recording eight distinctions and an average of 88.6 percent, just above Benjamin Frost, who achieved seven distinctions and an 88.4 percent average.
Woodland’s marks included 92 percent for mathematics, 92 percent for information technology, and 93 percent for computer aided technology (CAT). His highest mark of 94 percent was recorded in Life Orientation.
Frost also bettered the 90 percent mark four times, for mathematics (91%), information technology (93%), economics (93%) and life orientation (91%).
Adrian Hill and Tristan Hoyle matched Woodland with eight distinctions, but Frederick Waller topped the table with nine to his name.
James Asherson and Reuben Baldry joined Frost with seven distinctions, while there were six distinctions for Xihluke Marhule and Letlotlo Setatle. Joshua Hadley-Grave, Rupert Hechter, James Kennedy, Jack Martin and Tomas Szudrawski each scored five distinctions.
A total of 25 boys achieved A aggregates, while 42 boys received B aggregates. The average mark across all subjects was 71 percent, with an average of 2.3 A symbols per boy.
